I've been planning to redo the garden wall out back, and I'm stuck between brick or natural stone. Brick seems like it'd be easier to work with—more uniform sizes, probably quicker to lay down. But natural stone has that rustic charm, you know, gives it a bit more character. I've seen some really nice brick walls around town, neat and tidy, but then again, stone walls seem to age better and blend into the landscape nicely.
Cost-wise I think brick might be cheaper overall, but I'm not totally sure if that's true everywhere. Also, durability matters—heard stone can handle weather better long-term, but bricks seem pretty sturdy too. Anyone have experience with either? Curious what you guys prefer and why...
