Struggling to get ideas across clearly to my interior designer

I've been working with this home design app thingy that's supposed to help you visualize and communicate your ideas better to your interior designer. But honestly, I feel like no matter how many mood boards or sketches I send, something always gets lost in translation. Like, I wanted cozy and warm, but ended up with something that feels more like a dentist's waiting room, you know? Wondering if anyone else has had similar issues or if it's just me being terrible at explaining stuff...
