Can we talk about how awkward showing your work to others is?

I dunno if it's just me, but showing my work to other people always makes me feel super awkward. Like, I get that feedback is important and everything, but man...the anxiety of waiting for someone to respond or worrying they'll totally misunderstand what I'm going for is exhausting. Sometimes I even avoid sharing altogether cause it's easier than dealing with the nerves. Does anyone else feel this way or am I just overthinking again?

You're definitely not alone in feeling that way. It reminds me of when I first started renovating my house - I was excited but also terrified to show friends and family the progress. I'd worry they'd question my choices or not see the vision I had in mind. Honestly, sometimes people just don't get your intentions, and that's fine. But I think putting yourself out there, awkwardness and all, is usually worth it in the end...even if it feels uncomfortable at first.
