Comparing architectural design fees beyond the bottom line

How do you compare architectural design-fee proposals when the totals differ but the scope isn’t laid out the same way? A lower fee might cover a smaller drawing set or fewer rounds of revisions, while coordination and permit responses could be billed separately.

I’d like to understand which deliverables make the biggest difference to the fee: drawings and specifications, revision limits, consultant coordination, or responses to permit comments. How do you spot genuinely overlapping services without cutting support that’ll be needed later?
