MAKING FOUNTAINS AND PONDS FUN FOR EVERYONE
That rocky ground is the worst—been there, done that, and my shovel still has the dents to prove it. I hear you on the EPDM seams too; no matter how much I try to tuck them under rocks or plants, they always seem to peek out after a rain. Clay liner sounds old-school but honestly, I kinda like the idea of using what’s already in the ground. Has anyone tried bentonite clay? I’ve read it can self-seal, but I’m not sure how well it holds up over time, especially with freeze-thaw cycles.
MAKING FOUNTAINS AND PONDS FUN FOR EVERYONE
I totally get the frustration with liners showing—drives me nuts too. Haven’t tried bentonite myself, but I’ve wondered if it really handles winter as well as they say. Wouldn’t want to redo everything after the first big freeze. Still, using what’s already there does sound appealing.
