Laser levels are a game changer, no doubt, but I get the hesitation if it’s just a one-off project. Honestly, I’ve seen plenty of folks do a solid job with just a water level and some patience. The trick is consistency—measure from the same reference point every time, and don’t rush it. If you’re working solo, sometimes the old-school methods actually save you more hassle than trying to wrangle new gear you’re not used to. Just depends how picky you want to get with your finish.
