Bias lighting can be hit or miss depending on your setup. If it felt spaceship-y, maybe the color temp was off? I usually stick to warmer whites...makes things easier on the eyes, especially after hours at my desk.

I've tried warmer whites too, but honestly found them a bit too cozy for my workspace—started feeling sleepy after a while. Ended up switching to a neutral daylight temp, and it made a huge difference for me. Keeps me alert without feeling clinical or spaceship-y. Guess it really depends on personal preference and the kind of tasks you're doing...

Neutral daylight bulbs definitely strike a good balance. When I first set up my workspace, I went straight for the warm whites, thinking it'd feel relaxing and comfortable—big mistake. Felt like I was working in a cozy living room rather than trying to focus on detailed tasks. Switched to daylight bulbs after a week or two, and the difference was noticeable. Less eye strain, less yawning, and overall just felt more productive.

Still, I've seen some people swear by warmer lighting for creative tasks or brainstorming sessions. Guess it depends on what you're working on... but for me, neutral daylight temps are the way to go. Glad you found something that works well for you too.

Interesting point—I tried warm lighting for sketching out floor plans and initial design concepts, thinking it'd spark creativity. Honestly, it just made me feel sleepy and unfocused. Neutral daylight bulbs definitely help me stay sharper during detailed work... but now I'm curious if maybe a dimmable setup or adjustable color temps would be ideal. Has anyone experimented with adjustable lighting setups for switching between detailed tasks and creative brainstorming?

I actually set up adjustable bulbs in my home office last year, thinking I'd switch between warm and cool depending on the task. Funny thing is, I mostly leave it somewhere in the middle—too warm makes me drowsy, too cool feels clinical. Guess I'm picky...
