At this point, I just expect at least one “what now?” moment every project... keeps me humble, I guess.
That’s the truth. I swear, code books are like choose-your-own-adventure novels—except every ending costs you money. Had an inspector once cite a section that literally contradicted a footnote two pages later. I’ve learned to keep a running file of “weird exceptions” just in case. Staying calm is half the battle, but man, sometimes it’s tempting to just build a pillow fort and hide out.
