I like your manual override map idea—makes a lot of sense, especially for bigger homes or if you’ve got guests. One thing I’d add: label the actual panels and switches with something simple, like a sticker or tag. In my experience, even with photos, people get confused in an emergency or when the power’s out. Physical labels cut down on the guesswork. I still keep a brass key tucked away, though... old habits die hard.
