Definitely get where you’re coming from. I’ve seen smart speakers and TVs installed in new builds, and more than once, clients have asked for them to be disabled or even physically disconnected.
- Always-on mics make me uneasy too. Even if they “say” they’re off, it’s tough to verify.
- Convenience is great, but I wonder if we’re sacrificing too much privacy for it.
- Some folks love the hands-free controls, but others just don’t trust it—especially in their own homes.
Have you noticed if people are more comfortable with this stuff when it’s built into their phones versus their TVs or appliances?
