Had a similar experience myself. Asked mine how to patch drywall and ended up with instructions for making homemade pasta... tasty, but not exactly helpful when your wall's got a hole in it. Voice assistants are handy for quick things like weather or timers, but for detailed tasks, I still prefer old-school methods. At least you got cake out of it though—that's not the worst outcome I've heard!

Haha, totally relate to this. Last weekend I was trying to get mine to help me measure angles for a shelving project—ended up with a playlist of relaxing yoga music instead. Nice vibe, but not exactly what I needed when balancing a level and drill in hand... I've found that for anything remotely precise or technical, it's still easier (and less frustrating) to grab a manual or just eyeball it myself. Have you ever had it actually surprise you by being genuinely helpful with something tricky?
Haha, I feel your pain on the shelving project—voice assistants and precision tasks definitely don't mix well. I once tried using mine to help calculate the spacing for deck railing posts. Thought it'd save me some pencil-and-paper math, but instead, it cheerfully offered me recipes for roast duck. Not sure how it got there, but at least dinner was sorted that night...
But to be fair, it has surprised me a couple of times. Once I was elbow-deep in drywall mud and needed to quickly convert measurements from inches to centimeters (long story involving European hardware instructions). It actually nailed that one perfectly, saving my phone from a messy fate. So, while I still trust my tape measure and calculator more, sometimes these assistants do come through in a pinch.

Haha, sounds about right. I gave up asking mine for measurements after it kept trying to play random Spotify playlists. Tape measure never lets me down though...
I had a similar experience when I tried asking mine for the dimensions of a new shelf I was planning. Instead of giving me numbers, it started listing nearby furniture stores... like, thanks, but I'm trying to DIY here. Ended up just grabbing my trusty tape measure and notebook—sometimes the old-school methods really are quicker and cheaper.
