"Funny enough, my kids don't even blink when the TV misunderstands them. They just shrug and try again, louder or clearer."

Haha, same here. My daughter treats the TV like a slightly deaf grandparent—just repeats herself patiently. Guess we're the ones still adjusting... old habits die hard, right?

I can relate to this. My kids seem completely unfazed when the TV gets their commands wrong—they'll just calmly repeat it or rephrase it slightly. Meanwhile, I still find myself feeling slightly ridiculous talking to an appliance. Maybe it's because we grew up with buttons and remotes, so voice commands still feel a bit unnatural? Either way, I suppose it's just another small adjustment in our ever-changing tech landscape...

I totally get where you're coming from. When we moved into our new place, everything was voice-controlled—lights, thermostat, TV, you name it. At first, I felt pretty awkward standing there talking to the living room lamp or asking the TV to find a show. It just seemed... unnatural, I guess? But after a few weeks, it started feeling more normal. My partner adapted way quicker than me, though—she'd just casually chat away with Alexa like it was nothing.

Funny enough, I still catch myself reaching for the remote out of habit sometimes. I think you're right about it being a generational thing. We grew up pressing buttons and flipping switches, so talking to appliances still feels a bit sci-fi to me. But hey, technology moves fast, and I suppose we'll all get used to it eventually.

Haha, glad I'm not the only one. Honestly, I still feel a bit silly talking to my TV—maybe it's because half the time it misunderstands me anyway. The other night I asked it to play a documentary, and somehow ended up with a cooking show... Guess even the tech isn't totally convinced yet. Maybe in a few more years it'll feel second nature, but for now, I'll stick to buttons.

Haha, same here. I tried asking mine to open Netflix the other day and it started giving me weather updates instead... guess it's subtly hinting I should go outside more. I'll stick with buttons too, at least for now.
