Let’s say you just moved into a new place and can’t afford the fancy security stuff yet. What’s your go-to hack for making things feel safer? Like, would you stick with cameras, fake signs, or maybe even some old-school tricks? I keep thinking about stringing up some bells on the doors or something, but not sure how effective that is. Anyone have clever ideas that actually work, or is it all just kinda for peace of mind?

I get the appeal of those big hedges, but yeah, they can turn into a real security headache. I’ve always wondered—do you think it’s better to go with a few well-placed cameras instead of just relying on lights? I mean, motion lights are great, but sometimes animals set them off and you just end up ignoring them after a while. Has anyone tried those cheap DIY camera kits? Curious if they’re actually worth it or just a hassle.
