Just learned that in some places, handshake deals for construction projects can actually hold up legally... kinda blew my mind. Thought everything had to be super formal and written down. Anyone else heard of this or got more details? Seems risky to me.

Yeah, handshake deals can seem sketchy at first glance... but honestly, I've seen them work surprisingly well, especially in smaller communities. Trust and reputation often hold more weight than paperwork. Still, wouldn't hurt to have something written down just in case.
