Totally get what you mean about “temporary” fixes turning into the main attraction. I once used leftover peel-and-stick tiles to patch a spot behind my stove, thinking it’d last a month or two. Two years later, people still comment on how “intentional” it looks. Funny thing is, I spent way more time stressing over the expensive backsplash that nobody even notices. Maybe it’s just about embracing the quirks sometimes… though I still can’t help but wonder if I should’ve just saved the cash in the first place.
