Does the cabinet-hardware allowance include drilling and installation?
Cabinet-hardware allowances can be hard to compare if one quote covers only the pulls and knobs while another includes the drilling and installation labor. What’s typically included in a cabinetry quote, and which costs should be confirmed before ordering?
I’d also like to understand how builders price specialty items such as appliance pulls or pull-out organizers, and whether extra drilling or a template is treated as an added charge. Is that usually spelled out as a separate supply-and-install allowance, or handled another way?

I’d check whether pull-out organizers are listed as cabinetry components while appliance pulls are priced as separate hardware. The organizer may be part of the cabinet maker’s catalog and quote, whereas an appliance pull’s size or finish can make it a separate selection and cost. That distinction could change what the hardware allowance actually covers.
