Honestly, I’ve noticed the same thing—most references just say “everything’s fine” unless there was a disaster. It’s rare to get specifics about long-term performance unless you’re talking to someone who really tracks that stuff. I usually recommend asking for photos of the work a few years later or even requesting to see it in person if possible. That gives you a better sense of how materials and details have held up over time. Written references alone rarely tell the whole story.
