Honestly, I get a kick out of how much faith these companies put in voice controls. I’ve tried to “upgrade” my own setup a few times, but it always ends up with me arguing with the TV like it’s a stubborn contractor who won’t follow blueprints. Remotes just work—press a button, done. Maybe I’m old school, but when I’m winding down after a long day, I don’t want to play charades with my electronics. Maybe the tech will get there, but for now, give me buttons over awkward conversations any day.

I hear you, but honestly, I think voice controls are just another layer of clutter in a space that’s supposed to help you relax. I’ve tried integrating them into clients’ living rooms, and half the time people end up frustrated or just go back to the remote anyway. There’s something satisfying about tactile buttons—no guesswork, no repeating yourself. Maybe the tech will catch up, but for now, I’d rather have a sleek remote on the coffee table than talk to my TV like it’s a moody roommate.

I get where you’re coming from. I’ve actually spent way too much time troubleshooting voice controls for clients who just wanted to dim the lights or change the channel—half the time, it’s more hassle than it’s worth. There’s something about a well-designed remote that just feels right in your hand, you know? Plus, I’ve noticed people like the ritual of picking it up, pressing a button, and seeing an immediate response. Voice tech is cool in theory, but in practice... it still feels a bit clunky and awkward for most living rooms.

I totally get what you mean. Tried using voice commands a couple times—ended up repeating myself or getting the wrong channel anyway. Honestly, grabbing the remote is just quicker for me. Plus, yelling at the TV feels a bit weird when someone else is around.

Yeah, that right there sums it up. I tried using the voice thing when my brother was over—felt ridiculous, like I was arguing with the furniture. Plus, half the time it mishears me anyway. Remote’s just less hassle.
