Last weekend I drove out to check out a piece of land that looked amazing online—photos showed these sweeping views of hills and trees, you know, the kind of place you'd imagine yourself sipping coffee on a porch every morning. But when I got there, turns out the "view" was mostly blocked by power lines and a neighbor's giant barn. Um, not exactly what I had in mind.
It's funny how listings can make things look so much better than reality. I'm starting to think finding a spot with genuinely nice views is harder than it seems. Maybe I'm being too picky, but if I'm gonna build something, I want to actually enjoy looking out the window.
Has anyone else had this happen? Like, you get excited about a property only to find out the view is totally different in person? Curious if it's just my luck or if this is pretty common.

Nah, you're not too picky... listings are notorious for that. Always double-check satellite images and street views before driving out—saved me from disappointment more than once. Good luck out there!
